Shipping Policy

At World of Exotic Pets, we strive to ensure a smooth shipping experience for our customers. Below are the details regarding our shipping policies.

Shipping Schedule

  • You can request a specific shipping day for your animal(s), and your package will arrive the following day.
  • Animals can be scheduled to ship up to 5-7 days in advance. If no shipping day is selected, we will ship your order on the next available regular shipping day.

Live Arrival Guarantee

  • We offer a 100% Live Arrival Guarantee. This means that our reptiles and amphibians will arrive alive and healthy, provided that the buyer is home to receive the package.

Regular Shipping Days

  • We ship orders from Monday to Thursday. Orders placed before 12 PM EST may be eligible for same-day shipping if we have availability. Orders placed after 12 PM EST will typically ship the following day.
  • Orders placed after 12 PM EST on Thursday through Sunday will be shipped on Monday.
  • We monitor weather conditions and flight patterns to ensure a safe arrival. Shipments may be held at our discretion based on weather conditions. If you need to change your arrival day, please email us at info@worldofexoticpets.com.

Address Changes

  • Please ensure that the shipping address is entered correctly. We cannot guarantee shipments that have an address change or reroute after the order has been placed.

Saturday Delivery

  • We offer Saturday delivery for an additional charge of $29.99.

How We Ship

  • We ship live animals via Next Day Air with UPS and FedEx Express. Our packaging is designed to ensure the safety and comfort of your animals during transit.

Safe Shipping Weather

  • We only ship to your home or work when the weather along the route is between 35°F and 90°F. This temperature range extends to 25°F and 95°F if you choose to have your animals held for pickup at a main FedEx Shipping Center. Animals must be picked up within 4 hours of arrival for the live arrival guarantee to apply.
  • Packages generally arrive by 12:00 PM. In most metro areas, delivery occurs before this time, but remote areas may see deliveries later in the day.

Delivery Protocol

  • FedEx drivers will not wait for you to come to the door. They will knock or ring the doorbell and leave the package near your front door. We do not require a signature for delivery to prevent reptiles from being left in unsafe conditions.
  • While signatures are not required, we can obtain GPS delivery coordinates if necessary.

Reporting Issues

  • Any issues with your order must be reported within 4 hours of delivery. If your animal arrives Dead on Arrival (DOA), you must report it within 1 hour. Photo evidence will be required for all claims.
  • Please email us at info@worldofexoticpets.com to submit an order issue ticket and attach a photo of the contents of the shipment within the specified time frame. Failure to notify us within these time frames will void all guarantees.

Feeder Shipping

  • Orders for feeder insects placed without a live animal will ship on Monday, Tuesday, and Wednesday. To ensure same-day shipping, orders must be placed by Noon EST. Orders placed after this time on Wednesday will ship the following Monday.
  • Feeder insects are shipped via Priority Overnight, 2-Day, or 2-5 Day USPS Priority.

Additional Information

  • Shipping Fees: Shipping or freight charges are non-refundable. World of Exotic Pets is not responsible for freight charges on replacements, and no cash refunds will be issued—store credit only.
  • If you wish to return an animal, you are responsible for both shipping costs and ensuring the animal arrives back to us alive and healthy. You must ship the animal back overnight, using proper packing methods.
